If your child is in any one of Saratoga’s music ensembles, you have no doubt enjoyed many of your child’s concerts. If you just started with the program, you will soon have the opportunity to see the amazing results of our wonderful music programs. The concerts, especially at the elementary and middle school levels, are organized in such as way that you can see the progression of skills as our young musicians move from beginning band or orchestra at the elementary level to intermediate or advanced level at Redwood.

The students’ development over the years is impressive. Perhaps you’ve enjoyed an evening with the Symphonic Wind Ensemble or the Saratoga Strings Orchestra, the most advanced ensembles at SHS; these ensembles had the wonderful opportunity and honor of representing Saratoga in performances at Carnegie Hall in New York in 2010. Even the performances of our youngest performers at the Winter Concerts, after just a few months in the program, is so noteworthy that you’ll want to support our excellent music programs.

Saratoga Music Boosters works with Saratoga Union School District (SUSD) and Saratoga High School (SHS) to provide music programs for students in grades 4 through 12. The goal of these programs is to encourage a love of music and to provide opportunities for students in all grade levels to develop their musical skills. Saratoga Music Boosters is made up of parent volunteers and others in the community that advocate and raise funds for SUSD and SHS Music Programs.

SMB seeks volunteers throughout the year to help out at our fundraisers, group events and competitions. Volunteering is a great way to make new friends in the community. It's also a great way travel with our bands, choirs and orchestras on unforgettable trips. Get involved and get in the middle of the action!

Volunteer needs are communicated through this site and e-mails to parents of music students and SMB members. Volunteers are recruited based on time and skill requirements. Check this page for links to the latest volunteer opportunities and signups.
