The SHS marching band 2015 production, “Quest,” is inspired by the mobile video game Monument Valley, where the user solves puzzles to find a path for a “lost princess” to travel through. Much of the color scheme in the show is based on patterns in the game. Kidd notes, “The color guard plays a significant role in the 2015 production. Their costume this year represents a princess style dress, but a little different than what you may think a 'typical' princess would wear. It's pink, of course! But the dress has a multitude of tattered layers. The beginning of our production starts on the left side of the field where we begin our journey or our 'Quest' if you will. The Color Guard does a fantastic job representing the 'lost princess' finding her way through movement and motion. It's actually a very neat production."
Amanda Alexander, Savannah Green, Brittany Sample, and Amelia Schwabe are the student leaders for Color Guard this year. The leaders have been dedicated members of Color Guard and are mentors to the younger members of the guard and they are the main line of communication between the staff and the guard.
